THE CHALLENGE

The UTD UX design challenge prompted us to create a recipe app for UTD Students to help them find cheap recipes for nutritious meals. This was our resulting project that combined User Research, and Friendly UI.

Building Good Ux

The User-Centric Approach

Before starting the project I created an empathy map. Mapping out all the different aspects of the users' experience helped me understand their needs, thoughts, and feelings. This empathy map serves as a foundation for understanding the users' perspectives and aligning the Minute Bites app with their needs. It informs the design and functionality of the app to create a user-friendly experience that caters to the specific challenges and desires of the target audience.

Recent data reveals that many students rarely cook, citing time constraints and limited culinary skills. Surprisingly, these habits correlate with academic performance. Students who cook infrequently may face challenges in focus and energy levels, impacting their studies.

Ideation & Wireframing

Setting up a structure.

The primary objective was to design a seamless and intuitive experience that caters to the specific needs of our target audience, and building a bareboness structure to fill in with appealing visuals to create an inviting enviroment to the overall user experience.

Final Screens

Minute Bites: Find Quick, Easy, and Cheap recipes.

It gives you step by step instructions for each recipe and lets you contribute with your own recipre for other users to use.
